And for those with a fear of needles who are still on the fence, it’s the exact kind of imagery that could lead them to refuse their shot when the time comes. “People who have a fear of needles can use misinformation to justify avoidance, and they certainly don’t need any more reasons to justify avoidance than they already have,” adds Geller.
